Coon Valley, WI. April 18, 2011- While many in the Nordic industry are taking a well deserved break from a very busy 2010/2011 season, Mt. Borah has been hard at work preparing for 2011/2012. The company has some exciting plans for the upcoming season, including the introduction of a made to order retail nordic line, announcement of the three winning “gear for a year” teams/clubs, and a partnership with several top collegiate and club programs across the US and Canada. Last month Mt. Borah launched the “gear for a year” design contest. The contest challenges junior clubs, high school teams and collegiate teams to design their own creative custom team suits, the winning teams will receive their 2011/2012 custom team gear for free. To date, Mt. Borah has received a large number submittals from across the US and Canada and expects upwards of 500 before the contest comes to a close next September and the three winning teams are announced. “This is going to be one tough contest to judge, said John Dyste, Mt. Borah winter sports sales manager. We simply can’t believe the level of creativity these kids are putting into this, the designs are world class”. It should also be noted that there are no limits to the number of designs a team or club can submit, more information can be found at www.mtborah.com/gearforayear.
Mt. Borah’s new made to order program or MTO will be going live in late August. With the MTO program, Nordic skiers will be able to choose from several base designs, choose their own custom color and even add a custom name. Initially, the MTO product offering will include Pro XC Suits, Pro XC Jackets, Pro XC Warm Up Pants, Tassel Hats and the popular Neck Wraps. “Each year we get so many customers asking us if they could buy just one item, with the MTO program, they will be able to order just one and have it delivered in a week or two, all at a very competitive price”, Said Chris Jackson, company owner. All of Mt. Borah’s products are manufactured at the companies headquarters in Wisconsin, USA. The company has complete control over the entire production process, from artwork to sewing, it is all done in-house. “I think customers are finally starting to realize the complexity of the custom apparel market and just how important it is to work with a company who has direct control over the entire production process”, added Chris Jackson, company owner. According to Mt. Borah, 100% of their orders were shipped on time or even ahead of schedule.
Look for Mt. Borah custom Nordic apparel on some of the top teams across the US and Canada for the upcoming season. “We expanded our partnerships with several key programs for the 2011/2012 season, said John Dyste. “This past year has been an eye opener for many programs, they now realize the depth of the Mt. Borah brand and what we have to offer them, on time delivery and quality control have been key to our success”, added Dyste.
