Therese Johaug and Martin Johnsrud Sundby didn't even try to make it interesting on Saturday; they were feeling too good. The Norwegians won the Lillehammer World Cup skiathlons by 1 1/2 minutes and 44 seconds, respectively, and skied a good portion of the race completely alone.

Røthe Wins Beitostølen 15 k by Nearly a Minute; Sundby DQed

Martin Johnsrud Sundby set the fastest time in the FIS-season opening 15 k classic race on Friday in Beitostølen, Norway, and did so with an injured rib, but he was ultimately disqualified for skating. His Norwegian teammate, Sjur Røthe took the win instead, beating the runner-up by 51 seconds.
