FALUN, Sweden — Just a day after Jessie Diggins and Caitlin Gregg earned a surprise double podium in Tuesday’s 10 k freestyle at the 2015 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships – the first distance podiums for American women in a championships – FasterSkier caught up with the pair in Falun, Sweden. The two discuss the media spotlight, their initial reactions to the results, and what their podiums mean for U.S. cross country skiing.

The U.S. women will look to capitalize on the momentum from Tuesday’s podiums in Thursday’s 4 x 5 k relay. If the team places in the top-three it will be the first medal for an American team, male or female, in a relay event. See the start list here.
