Egil Kristiansen Takes Over The Norwegian Women’s Team Next Year

Egil Kristiansen takes the step from assistant coach to head coach for the Norwegian women’s team after this season.

Kristiansen is replacing current head coach Svein Tore Samdal, who earlier this season notified the Norwegian ski federation that he quits as the Women’s head coach when the Olympic season is over.

It has been rumored that Kristiansen would take over and that is now confirmed

– There won’t be any big changes in the training program, says Kristiansen

Samdal believes that Kristiansen is the right man for the job.

– I’m 100 percent sure that he is the right person for this job. The girls are also very comfortable with this solution, says Samdal.

Marit Bjorgen was with ten World Cup victories and three Gold’s at World’s the top World Cup skier last season and Norway won the women’s nation cup.
