Twelve laps in a 2.5 k loop (6 classic and 6 skate) worked fine for the men's 15 + 15 k pursuit.
TD Knut Nystad commented that some coaches had been concerned about running this long of a race on such a short course, but everything worked out fine.

It seems like Andrew Johnson's peak plan was a success – two first places at the end of the week was impressive.
The Johnson plan:
Solid tooth infection followed by “half a root canal” done before the first races (that he didn't participate in ), antibiotics, rest, completion of root canal, followed by two first places.
We bet that the dentists in Rumford should get some buisness prior to US Nationals.

Wendy Wagner was the clear winner of the women's 5 kilometer ahead of Rebecca Dussault and surprise third place finisher Karin Camenisch.
