Right now there are abundant opportunities to get out and enjoy winter, especially if you are a woman. In the next few weeks, there are many “Women's Only” events going on around the country. Not coincidentally, many of these are being held this weekend (AKA Super Bowl Weekend).

An outdoor Nordic Expo clothing and equipment retailers will have items to try and to buy. Demo equipment and rental equipment is available for a small fee – please note what you need when you register. A fun relay (optional) will conclude the day with awards for mother/daughter, sister/sister, relative/relative, friend/friend, and oldies/oldies (minimum combined age 100) teams. <br />

<p><B>Women's Ski Tour</B>:<br />
The Women's Ski Tour challenges women to get up, get out and be alive. The Ski tour is the only event of its kind that provides an opportunity to ski or snowshoe while raising funds for the local community. Enjoy non-competitive skiing or snowshoeing while getting caught up in the sisterhood that permeates this event. There are six women's ski tours taking place around the country during February.<br />

<p><B>Alaska Ski For Women – Anchorage, Alaska</B><br />
The eighth Annual Ski for Women will be held Sunday,Feb 1, 2004, at Kincaid Park in Anchorage. All levels and ages of women skiers are invited. This event attracts about 1500 people! The emphasis is on fun and participation. There will be two starts, a classic/diagonal 4 kilometer ski at 11:00am and a skate/freestyle 4 kilometer ski at 12:30pm.
