Tchepalova Edges Pedersen in GER

OBERSTDORF, Germany (Feb. 14) — Former World Cup champion Julia Tchepalova won a 15K (7.5+7.5) skiathlon Saturday by 5.9 seconds over Norwegian Hilde G. Pedersen in the second day of racing at the cross country pre-Worlds. Tchepalova seems to be back on form after struggling early in the season.

Wendy Wagner (Park City, UT), the lone American racing, was 56th.

Beckie Scott did not race. She is at the Keskanada doing a sprint and a 5k (not the marathon) – then flying back to Stockholm to do more World Cup,
