Valbusa And Neumanova On Top IN La Clusaz, France

Katerina Neumanova (CZE) won the women’s 10 kilometer individual start skate race in La Clusaz, France on Friday. Julia Tchepalova (RUS) Was second and Sabina Valbusa was (ITA) was third.

Beckie Scott of Canada returned to World Cup racing following an almost six week long training break and skied in to a good 11th place. Team-mate Sarah Renner again scored World Cup point with a 25th place. Wendy Wagner (USA) was 54th.

The men’s race was won by Fulvio Valbusa (ITA) ahead of local favorite Vincent Vittoz of France and Christian Hoffman (AUT).

Top North American was Kris Freeman in 34th.

Other North Americans: Andrew Johnson (USA) 52nd, George Gray (CAN) 54, Carl Swenson (USA) 72, Chris Jefferies (CAN) 74, Justin Freeman (USA) 85
