FasterSkierJuly 26, 2004

The July issue of’s Club subscription service was sent to subscribers on July 20. The Club provides detailed, in-depth coverage of modern and interesting issues in the sport of Cross-Country.  Most of the Club’s articles will cover issues related to training and racing, and will also include material for all ages and abilities, from World Cup skiers’ training to important elements of youth and age group training and skiing.

This month we include three articles.  We have added a few of our own comments to the articles:

1. From promising Junior to Elite skier – An interesting interview with two of the youngest Norwegian Cross-Country National Team stars

2. V1 versus V2 in uphill  – A summary of a research project looking at the efficiency of uphill techniques

3. Learn to hit the right training intensity without using heart rate monitors  – A discussion of the fact that strict HR training zones may not be working for everyone
