Â The Chequamegon Fat Tire 40 is a 40 mile mtn bike race from Hayward to Cable , WI. Â It uses some of the famed Birkie trail along with multiple fire roads to make up the largest off road bike race in the country with about 2500 riders.
. Â We had been there before as a tandem team. Â Once finishing 2nd including a not so fun painful crash, then coming back the next year 1st (70th overall) and yet another year riding in first only to have a mechanical force a DNF.<br />
