Bauer And Teichmann Best In German Team Test

Getting ready for Obersdorf Worlds: All the German cross country national team skiers showed up for their annual mandatory fall tests in Oberhof this weekend. This is the 40th year the in a row the test is done in Oberhof. The competitions started with a running test and ended with a skate rollerski race. 

– This is a max test to check the skiers shape, said head coach Jochen Behle to the newspaper Sudturingen Zeitung.

Viola Bauer and Axel Teichman won the first of the German team’s two time-trials last weekend. The women ran 5-kilometer and the men 10-kilometer.

The running test was on Saturday and a rollerski test was on the program for Sunday.

Bauer was 10 seconds ahead of Anja Krellner. Claudia Kunzel was 21 seconds behind. Several of the best men’s skiers were absent and Axel Teichmann won by 35 seconds to Steffan Kirchner.
