Belmondo Targets Turin Gold

Italian cross-country skier Stefania Belmondo has set her sights on a sensational return to competition next season, three years after hanging up her skis. The 35-year old told a press conference in Turin, Italy, on Tuesday that she would begin preparations after the birth of her son in March 2005.

Belmondo retired after the 2002 Salt Lake City, Olympics. Belmondo is now 35-years old. She has two Olympic Gold’s and five individual World Championship gold’s.
