Camenisch Clinches SuperTour Overall Sprint Title

Karin Camenisch (SUI) sealed up the overall SuperTour sprint title last
weekend by winning a downtown sprint in Minneapolis. The 800m sprint,
which took place on the Uptown street of Hennepin Avenue, brought 2,000
spectators to the start and finish line to cheer on the skiers,
including locals Chad Giese and Lindsay Williams. Giese won the men's
competition over Zach Simons, winner of the downtown sprint competition
three weeks prior in Madison, WI. Williams, the 2005 U.S. sprint
champion, was just passed by Camenisch at the line, giving Williams the
second spot and the fans a thrilling show.

Camenisch, who was already awarded a spot on the Swiss World Cup team
this spring for her high oveall ranking in the SuperTour, was awarded
her first-place and overall champion awards by the Mayor of Minneapolis,
RT Ryback.
