Team Alpina Wins 3 of 4 races at Snow Mountain Stampede

Snow Mountain Ranch, CO – Fittingly, the Alpina team dominated the day's
events at the 22nd annual Alpina/Madshus Snow Mountain Stampede, winning 3
out of the 4 individual 42k events held at the legendary Nordic center on
Saturday March 6.

Norway's Andre Haugsboe and Aspen's Casey Ward, Alpina teammates, were able to ski away from Subaru Factory Team veteran Nathan Schultz in the 42k classic race. Haugsboe eventually left Ward behind in the final kilometers to take the win in a time of 2:10:26, while Ward finished in 2:13:56. Schultz finished third in 2:19:25.

U.S. Ski Team/Atomic skier Wendy Wagner broke up the Alpina party with a decisive
win in the women's division of the classic race finishing fourth overall in
a time of 2:30:37. Alpina's Irene Eder finshed second in 2:41:55 with Helen
Carlson 3rd in 3:20:23.

Michael Brothers and Natalie Ward swept the men's and women's 42 skate races
for Alpina while junior phenom Glen Randall, preparing for the junior
World's, won the men's 21k skate race by over eight minutes.
