<p> Double poling is Jorgen’s strength, but he also wants to become even better in the hardest sections of the courses. He is along with the team’s new coach Pal Gunnar Mikkelsplass, developing the plan for how to achieve that.</p>
<p>– Our main goal besides developing the poling is to increase my (maximal oxygen) capacity. It’s exciting having Pal Gunnar as coach. It has helped me in making my training more systematic. I’m now thinking more about what’s best for me, instead of just joining others in their workouts.</p>
<p>What’s the main difference from the past?</p>
<p>– I’m using more periodization by separating more between hard and easy periods, says Jorgen that besides a pulled quadriceps muscle that has caused him some problems, have trained well since May.</p>
