The Norwegian men’s team started their dryland camp at Hafjell on Thursday. Several hard workouts and a time-trial are on the agenda.

The Norwegian men’s team started their dryland camp at Hafjell on Thursday. The first interval session and next Tuesday’s skate rollerski time-trial is open to anyone that want to test themselves up against the national team skiers. It’s expected that a number of good skiers from the Lillehammer area will use this opportunity to see how they measure up against the World Cup skiers.

This is the first camp for the men’s team after the summer vacation and three hard workouts is on the agenda during the seven day long camp.

— We are going to do a few hard sessions and it will be fun to catch up and train with the other national team skiers again after summer vacation, says Anders Aukland.

The men’s sprint team and the women’s team will do a camp at the same place from August 8 to the 14th.

The camp program for the men’s August 4-10, 2005 camp:

Thursday
1 Open
2 Moose hoofs/running w/poles in uphill intervals, 5 x 5 minutes intensity 4-5 (hard)

Friday
1 Roll classic distance 2.30-3.0 hours intensity 1-2
2 Foot — speed and explosiveness — max strength

Saturday
1 Distance run 2.30-3.0 hours intensity 1
2 Roll skate 2.0 intensity 1

Sunday
1 Classic roll intervals, double pole only intensity 3-4
2 Bike distance 2 hours intensity 1

Monday
1 Roll skate 2.0-2.30 hours intensity 1
2 Run distance 1.30 + strength (stomach and back)

Tuesday
1 Time-trial, skate uphill
2 Recovery workout

Wednesday
1. Run distance 3 hours intensity 1
