Koos And Aas Fastest In Rollerski Sprint Time-Trial At Soldier Hollow

US Ski Team member Torin Koos and Norwegian skier Sigrid Aas won a skate rollerski sprint time-trial on the rollerski course at Soldier Hollow on Saturday.

18 skiers from the US Ski Team, University of Utah and other clubs were on the starting line for the 10 AM start. Great warm fall weather with temperatures in the 60-70 Fahrenheit range.

The prolog was run with 10 seconds intervals. The heats started 20 minutes after the conclusion of the prolog.

Andy Newell had the fastest men’s prolog time, but Torin Koos won the men’s final ahead of Newell, with Carl Swenson in third and Kris Freeman in fourth.

Norwegian skier Sigrid Aas was the fastest women in the prolog and also won the women’s final ahead of Wendy Wagner.
