Piller Cotterer Strongest In Rollerski Hillclimb

Pietro Piller-Cottrer, the 15-kilometer World Champion from Oberstdorf last winter showed that he is in good fall shape by winning the Grand Prix Sportful rollerski hillclimb in Italian alporten Feltre on Sunday.

The race was 11.3 kilometer of uphill and national team skiers from Italy, Spain, Austria and Finland participated. Piller Cottrer won by 25 seconds ahead of teammate Giorgio Di Centa. Simone Paredi was third, 42 seconds out. The Austrian Olympic medal hope Michail Botvinow was 18th.

The women’s race was won by Italian Marina Piller 2 seconds ahead of Viviana Druidi and 1.41 minute ahead of Stephanie Santer.
