The US quota as defined by F.I.S for these races is:

Women Sprint — 8 racers total.
Women Distance — 7 racers total.

Men Sprint — 7 racers total.
Men Distance — 8 racers total.

Qualified racers will be named as quickly as possible after the skate sprint race in West Yellowstone on November 26th.

Qualified athletes will need to accept their start positions for both Sovereign Lake and Canmore within 24hrs.

In addition to accepting start positions athletes must confirm their arrival date and travel information.

This is for several reasons. For one, athletes must be entered, coaches must be accredited, and logistics must be arranged — including world cup transport to Sovereign Lake (Vernon, BC) and from Sovereign Lake to Canmore.

Athletes who will bring their own coaches must submit the name of their coach to Trond Nystad so that their coach can be accredited with the F.I.S. The F.I.S will not allow un-accredited coaches in secured race areas including the racecourse.

As of now we cannot guarantee the accreditation of additional coaches.

Athletes are encouraged to be in Sovereign Lake/Vernon by the 2nd of December. Collegiate athletes may arrive as late as the 7th.

We have reserved hotel spots beginning on the 7th and so Luke Bodensteiner needs to know if athletes will be arriving prior to that (which we encourage) in order to adjust reservations.
