Bjorgen is based upon last year’s results the favorite to win the overall World Cup, but it will be tough for her to win on Saturday after only having been on snow the last 4-5 days after three and a half weeks with dryland training. Smigun won a classic race in Muonio two weeks ago and Kuitunen a classic race one week ago. That’s better preparations. They both skied well in the classic season opener last season. Kuitunen might nip Smigun for first with Bjorgen in third…

High up on the list: Anders Sodergren with odds 34 could surprise everyone and win…. Junior skier Northug (no odds) could be top ten, but might be better in skating….
