Beckie 1st, Sara 3rd and Chandra 10th in W Cup sprint

Canada's best ever World Cup day took place in Vernon BC, with 2 medals and a top 10 on the womens side in the sprint event. Beckie Scott captured her first ever World Cup win and Sara Renner her first World Cup medal in a great performance that also saw Chandra Crawford claim her first top 10. Milaine Theriault iwho has had an injury plagued dryland season, also scored World Cup points with a 25th place finish among a strong World Cup field.
The Mens results weren't quite as strong in the final, though Phil Widmer had a great qualifying result with a 4th place qualifying finish. Still the young mens sprint skiers had 3 finishers with World Cup points, as Sean Crooks finished 25th, Phil Widmer 26th and Drew Goldsack 28th.
