NENSA is proud to announce the 2007 Zak Cup and Club Series race schedule. The Zak Cup is a race series focused towards masters skiers. New England Master skiers participate in a season-long series to determine the best skiers in each five year age group over 30. The Series is named after Vlastimil Zak, who died unexpectedly when he went through the ice on Squam Lake, New Years Eve, 1979. Zak’s enthusiasm and dedication to our sport lives on in the Zak Series.

This years Zak cup will be held at a variety of venues with race formats that will be sure to please a wide range of skiers. Scoring for the Zak Cup will be as follows: Best of 4 races for men and best of 3 races for women. Any ties will be broken by the best ranking in overall Zak Cup points. Changes to this year’s format will be the scoring of only 1 race distance for the Marathons(50k). Saturday January 20th will be the 1 day Club Championship and Sunday January 21st will be the 1 Day Individual Championship for Masters.
