Ahrlin and Pedersen won the Marcialonga Marathon

Jerry Ahrlin (29) of Sweden won the Marcialonga classic style marathon on Sunday. Jorgen Aukland of Norway was second and Marco Cattaneo of Italy was third.

Hilde Gjermundshaug Pedersen of Norway won the women’s race ahead of Elin Ek of Sweden. Susanne Nystrom also of Sweden was third.

The race had been reduced from its original 70-kilometer to 57 kilometer as a result of lack of snow in the Italian Alps.
