Charlotte Kalla of Sweden claimed her second gold at the 2007 World Juniors in Italy by winning the girl’s 10 kilometer pursuit on Friday. Kalla actually didn’t just win, she crushed the competition!


The boys’ 20-kilometer was won by Eirik Kurland Olsen of Norway, 1.2 seconds ahead of Ondrei Horyna (CZE). Sjur Roethe of Norway was third while Alex Harvey of Canada was fourth and barely missed his second podium at these Worlds.

Frederic Touchette of Canada was 22nd while Matthew Phillip Gelso was the top US skier in 31st place. Other North Americans: Hakkon James Lenes (CAN) 36th, Reid Pletcher (USA) 56th, Karl Nygren (USA) 57th, Pate Neumann (CAN) 64th, Colin Struthers 75th.
