Former University of Denver coach, Knut Nystad is expected to sign a contract for another year, and will therefore continue as chief wax technician for the Norwegian team next season.

<p>Cross country chief, Ã…ge Skinstad has expressed that he wants Nystad as head wax technician all the way through the 2011 Worlds in Oslo. But Nystad want to only sign contracts for one year at a time. </p>
<p>— Everyone agrees that we should try to have as much continuity as possible. But you also have to evaluate other things, like if it’s possible to combine this job over time with family life, says Nystad, who has a child together with cross country skier Katrin Smigun of Estonia.</p>
<p>He now has a new contract waiting for his signature. The old one is just about to expire. </p>
<p>— It’s probably sitting in my email-box waiting. I just haven’t had time to sign it yet, he says. </p>
