The fist competition from the IBU International Summer Biathlon Roller-Ski Cup was held last week from August 3 to August 5, in Duszniki Zdroy, Poland.

Krystina Palka (POL) took home the victory in the women's 7.5km sprint, 23 and 51 seconds ahead of Magdalena Gwizdon (POL) and Janka Gerakova (SVK) respectively.

In the junior division, German prodigy Voigt Lisa skied away from the competition. Her time of 21:30 would have been good for third in the elite division.

Sebastian Witek (POL) won the 10km junior men's sprint.

The second day of competition featured the pursuit. Lisa Voigt took home her second gold in the junior women's race and Petra Slezakova (SVK) took advantage of a weakened field to win the elite women's race. The top Polish athletes had departed for training camp after the previous day's race.

In the closest race of the weekend, Vadim Tsvetov (BLR) edged Denny Andritzke (GER) by 2.5 seconds in the junior men's 12.5km pursuit. Erik Lahl (GER) took third, 31.6 seconds back.

Pavol Hurajt (SVK) was a double winner in the men's division.

The fine organization and the perfect weather conditions created an excellent atmosphere at the competitions and competitors and fans alike left with pleasant memories.
