NENSA Goes Green!

While NENSA is a regional organization, Global Warming is obviously an issue that transcends any borders. It is useful and inspiring to share information and ideas on how to combat this enormous problem.

NENSA now offers a paperless membership option. With over 3,000 members, a frequent newsletter and a large event guide this will add up to significant reductions in paper use.

In addition, NENSA is working on having NENSA-branded reusable shopping bags take the place of plastic bags for racer packets at several of our major events this winter. And, they will support members with resources, ideas and opportunities to change their daily lives to limit both our carbon footprint and overall environmental impact.

Finally, NENSA is sharing their Climate Change Task Force recommendations for membership review. With an introduction by renowned author and cross-country ski enthusiast Bill McKibben, the recommendations include changes at NENSA, at events, and suggestions for members.
