Recovery Time

Many skiers take some time off in April to relax and recover in preparation for the next season. This is a very important part of the training year. Professional cross country skiing requires year round training and a lot of focus. It is important to let your mind recover in preparation for another year of hard work. The best way for me to recover is play in the mountains. I am looking forward to a few weeks traveling and enjoying the activites that I don’t get to do very often. Andre Watt and I are staying with Pat Stinson for a week of telemark skiing in the backcountry of Alaska. p align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGWY0xl_mI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/d_dEEhnlrbk/s1600-h/AK09+002.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;” src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGWY0xl_mI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/d_dEEhnlrbk/s400/AK09+002.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323701587756318306″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-style: italic;font-size:85%;” Driving Pat’s sweet VW van to catch the first tram Monday morning at Alyeska Resort. I usually prefer to ski in the back country, but a day of lift service on a foot of powder is a real treat. We skied from the first lift at 10:30 to the last lift at 5:30.br //span/p p style=”font-style: italic;” align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGVpqsyQyI/AAAAAAAAAJw/g1d5R0Jc2tg/s1600-h/AK09+010.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;” src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGVpqsyQyI/AAAAAAAAAJw/g1d5R0Jc2tg/s400/AK09+010.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323700777597944610″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Andre Dropping into Christmas Chute/span/p p style=”font-style: italic;” align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGVpYwXDQI/AAAAAAAAAJg/DiifPbaj9TM/s1600-h/AK09+021.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;” src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGVpYwXDQI/AAAAAAAAAJg/DiifPbaj9TM/s400/AK09+021.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323700772781100290″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Andre was trying to teach me to fly (small dot in center)/span/p p style=”font-style: italic;” align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGVpv_xUII/AAAAAAAAAJo/F3TqAXYV8nw/s1600-h/AK09+025.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGVpv_xUII/AAAAAAAAAJo/F3TqAXYV8nw/s400/AK09+025.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323700779019751554″ border=”0″ //abr /span style=”font-size:85%;”It didn’t work, but it was still awesome/span/p p style=”font-style: italic;” align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGWZJYXF8I/AAAAAAAAAKI/UO5a4Z3zwMc/s1600-h/AK09+018.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGWZJYXF8I/AAAAAAAAAKI/UO5a4Z3zwMc/s400/AK09+018.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323701593287628738″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Dropiing from powder pillow to pillowbr //span/p p style=”font-style: italic;” align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGWY6BdJZI/AAAAAAAAAKA/p7n1K7B3sD0/s1600-h/AK09+008.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;” src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGWY6BdJZI/AAAAAAAAAKA/p7n1K7B3sD0/s400/AK09+008.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323701589165024658″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Andre/span/pdiv class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8083254037538554650-6848434591306838872?l=in-the-arena-brian.blogspot.com’ alt=” //div
