It is good practice to have some benchmarks to monitor your training. It is hard to be accountable, especially for older people training mostly on their own. It is very easy to go out and just play. /ppWhich is Ok, of course in  a limited way for an off day. /ppThis Sunday less then 12 hours after completing the Whiteface Uphill Bike Race a 8 mile race up the Whiteface Mountain Highway I went for Time Trial # 2 in the pouring rain. Definitely would have enjoyed a little more rest but needed to compress Time Trial, then Running and shooting and driving 290 miles back to home base.br /This course is a good test of actual ski speed. There is some flats, gradual inclines, and a huge hill for the last mile. This hill is a very steep hill that was used in the Michael Flanagan Bike Race. br /I was actually a little slower then in the beginning of May. Hopefully the wet roads accounted for the slower time. Actually I felt better with technique and overall fitness. I will be back in July for #3 and also a to try out the top 5 miles of the Whiteface Toll Road. br //ppOf note UTube would not play my music that I put on it due to copyright infringement./p/divdiv class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6647112093689702615-7578575902973744088?l=www.jackedupoldman.com’//div
