There is nothing like waking up to a couple of inches of snow out in the yard. It’s funny how quickly your attitude shifts into a more determined pumped spirit. Even the smell of winter gets you all jumpy inside making your nerves runny crazy. Its fun to work hard during the summer but with such warm weather, your mind seems to be in a separate place than the cold weather stance. /p p class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”Sam, Erik and I have continuously finished every workout for the past couple of weeks feeling strong and confident with where we are. So far this is the best condition any of us have entered the season with. We still have about a month of preparation but that’s icing on the cake – lots of the hard painful work. As a Nordic skier that’s what we look forward to most. We love that taste in the back of our throat when we are pounding so hard during that last 30 seconds of the interval. All summer we are looking forward to this part, when we can watch our improvements and get ready to test them throughout the winter. With exception to the actual racing part this is what we enjoy most./p p class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”The three of us have just received some high performance compression clothing from a company called 2XU. It seems to be perfect timing considering the training we are shifting into. With the increased intensity, your muscles seem to be feeling the fatigue during the workout and at night more than ever. This is the time that recovery becomes most important. We have discovered with this new clothing we can skip the achy feelings in the morning and continue feeing good throughout training. We have found wearing the compression tights while we sleep may not be the most comfortable sleep garment but it sure does wash the heavy feeling out of your legs allowing you to wake up with fresh legs. It is great, the compression tops seem to be working the same way. We have also experimented using this clothing during workout and it seems to be just as successful. We all have found it reduces fatigue as quickly, and as it claims, “creates an enhanced body position sense for agility and speed”. It has been great to experiment with this new clothing, thanks to Rita Kenny at Winthrop Mountain Sports for providing it to us! I think it is a key to recovery that I have been missing out on. Now is the perfect time to discover it./pa onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SuIJeECzkhI/AAAAAAAAALE/bPJYX5mqd4w/s1600-h/Samddddd.jpg” style=”text-decoration: none;”br /img src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SuIJeECzkhI/AAAAAAAAALE/bPJYX5mqd4w/s320/Samddddd.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395885715629511186″ style=”display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 274px; height: 320px; ” //ap class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-align: center;text-indent: 0.5in; “span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-weight: bold;”Sam using 2XU shorts during training/span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-align: center;text-indent: 0.5in; “br //pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-align: center;text-indent: 0.5in; “span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-weight: bold;”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-weight: normal; “a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SufN-0dqRSI/AAAAAAAAALM/M_PstyJPwlk/s1600-h/Erik+x.jpg”img src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SufN-0dqRSI/AAAAAAAAALM/M_PstyJPwlk/s320/Erik+x.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397509157545461026″ style=”float: left; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 291px; ” //a/span/span/pdiv style=”text-align: center;”br //diva onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SufOWe-f4CI/AAAAAAAAALU/aKyne6acI04/s1600-h/Sadie+x.jpg”img src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SufOWe-f4CI/AAAAAAAAALU/aKyne6acI04/s320/Sadie+x.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397509564094472226″ style=”float: right; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 285px; ” //ap class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold;”br //span/pp class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-indent:.5in”br //pa onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SuIG72q3-II/AAAAAAAAAKs/-GilRVUy51c/s1600-h/2xucomp.jpg”img src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_l4L_01UOs1s/SuIG72q3-II/AAAAAAAAAKs/-GilRVUy51c/s320/2xucomp.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395882928900667522″ style=”display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 226px; ” //ap class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-align: center;text-indent: 0.5in; “span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”color: rgb(0, 51, 0); font-weight: bold; “span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-size: large;”ONE MONTH UNTIL OUR FIRST RACE!/span/spanbr //p !–EndFragment–div class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2910103639238326543-8510741615045954366?l=methowolympicdevelopment.blogspot.com’ alt=” //div
