Skiing in Yellowstone National Park

chrisNovember 30, 2009

It has been a tradition for my wife, Stefani, and I to finish up Fall Camp at West Yellowstone by skiing into the park on the Riverside Trail. A walk of two blocks leads to the edge of town and the Park boundary. From there, a narrow groomed track leads down to the Madison River. Always a relaxing and rewarding way to end the week of skiing.

Taking a break to enjoy the view on a 10 degree morning.

We weren’t the only ones making tracks in the fresh snow.

This part is machine set. Easy, flat, wonderful skiing.

Along the Madison River, the tracks are skied in, not machine set. Coverage was thin, but still worthwhile.
