Yesterday I went into Yellowstone National Park for a long, easy classic ski. There were a few trails along the river that were well tracked and the skiing along the access road was pretty good, with the exception of a few patches where the snow had been melted by the sun. I was joined by some other New England skiers and we all had a great time checking out the beautiful views. Our eyes were peeled for wildlife but the closest we got was a blinking bison warning sign without any accompanying live bison. It was a perfect relaxing ski for the day after racing and a nice “mini-adventure.” Here are some photos of the scenery…
