The trip was long, but smooth and uneventful. Skiing is great up here. On Tuesday we skied up near where we are staying at the Hillside trails. Beautifully groomed trails for everyone to use. It was fun to see a bunch of the Alaskan teams practicing and we had a nice distance ski. Pictured above is our group along with Corrine Prevot who is up here with the Middlebury team.br /a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvW4tToGgI/AAAAAAAAB0o/8_b6AsaL7x0/s1600-h/IMG_1920.JPG”img style=”display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 226px;” src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvW4tToGgI/AAAAAAAAB0o/8_b6AsaL7x0/s400/IMG_1920.JPG” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421162846193457666″ //aToday we went to the race site, Kincaid Park. These pictures are taken around 11am. This is as light as it gets. It is dark until 9 am and gets dark again by 4. It is a little strange knowing that the sun has risen, but not being able to see it because it is hiding below the mtns.br /a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvWrX1C2LI/AAAAAAAAB0g/cgbQISrlaGE/s1600-h/IMG_1923.JPG”img style=”display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 206px;” src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvWrX1C2LI/AAAAAAAAB0g/cgbQISrlaGE/s400/IMG_1923.JPG” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421162617089743026″ //aWe skied the 5 km skate course and then practiced the sprint course. The sprint course is pretty long… 1.6 km or so, with a good tough climb near the start. It is going to be important to save some energy for the last 1 km which is rolling.br /a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvWbC86TbI/AAAAAAAAB0Y/kq-9b2D3kew/s1600-h/IMG_1927.JPG”img style=”display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;” src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvWbC86TbI/AAAAAAAAB0Y/kq-9b2D3kew/s400/IMG_1927.JPG” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421162336607686066″ //aSophie and Megan joined us for the workout.br /a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvWL8zxy7I/AAAAAAAAB0Q/bHQD4OFC0II/s1600-h/IMG_1930.JPG”img style=”display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;” src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_H2SCM3lmKm8/SzvWL8zxy7I/AAAAAAAAB0Q/bHQD4OFC0II/s400/IMG_1930.JPG” border=”0″ alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421162077260729266″ //aThere is a large warm bunker for waxing.
