Canmore Nordic Area has done it. They have created a separate Biathlon and Cross Country Loop In about 3 days. The tracks stand as testament to their snow making capability. Unfortunately we are not able to ski the real 10km course which has great transitions fun downhills and some challenging terrain. It was funny the 2 days previous to today the temp. was way below zero F and the snow guns were making about 90% vapor or more.
Tomorrow we have a 10km race on a 2.5 km loop. The loop has no sustained climbs or downhills. It will be a suffer fest though since one shall have to grind around the course, with no real rest.
Psyche d to race the Temp should be above zero tomorrow. Still Toko HF Blue with JS Blue Bloc rubbed and Rotocorked. Sunday will bring extreme cold and most likely will break out the XCold powder.
Then on Monday we travel to again to the Midwest Freezer Box.
