This will be an abbreviated post as this blogger has been bed stricken with the flu. Tomorrow begins the last World Cup weekend before the circuit moves to Canada for the Canmore races and the Olympics. It is perhaps the smallest field ever for a World Cup event. There are no Norwegians or Swedes due to their own nationals. There is also Very limited Italians and no French skiers. Out of the 34 starters for the women’s sprints, exactly half are Russian. On the men’s side, there are only five seeded skiers, all Russians. It’ll be yet another good weekend for skiers down the totem pole to get some World Cup points.
