It was a an thrilling day in the team sprint with crashes, broken poles and most of all fast ski racing.  Here are a few photos from the semis with more to come.

The Canadian women making the tag.
Torin Koos (USA) stuck his nose in it all day.
Kikkan Randall (USA) charged every time she was on the course.
Caitlin Compton (USA) battled in a tough field.
Canadian Alex Harvey gave us all something to cheer about today.

I cheered myself hoarse. At the TV. Thanks for the thrills Andy, Torin, Kikkan & Caitlin! Really cool seeing you mix it up.

If today is the highlight of these games, then I would consider these games a failure for the US.

The women were out of contention from the start and the men were only in contention when everyone was still in contention. Not exactly thrilling. Congrats for salvaging some pride by qualifying past semi-finals though. Good team selection too.

Go USA! I wish I could have seen it live. I had to keep hitting refresh on the browser.

BTW, I wasn’t being sarcastic about the good team selection. Maybe the best decision made during these games. Hard to say that these games are not a flop for the the USST.
