Next Stop: World Cup Finals

BrianMarch 17, 2010

The World Cup consists of all the best skiers in the world.  World Cup Finals are even more elite.  Competitors must be: Ranked Top 50 on the World Cup, U23 World Champions or Continental Cup Leader.   As the Continental Cup (SuperTour) Leader I have the good fortune of being able to compete as part of this elite field.  These races will be even more competitive than last weeks World Cups.

World Cup Finals are run as a ‘mini’ Tour, meaning you must compete in all races.  There are four races:

Wed: Classic Sprint (Stockholm)

Fri: 3.3km Classic (Falun)

Sat: 20km Duathalon (Falun)

Sun: 15km Freestyle (Falun)

We drove 7 hours to Stockholm yesterday on a coach bus with the Italian team.  I was happy to have some movies loaded on my computer (thanks bro).  We made it to town in time for a workout.  Only about an 800m loop but with one really good climb plenty of room for an hour classic with 7*20s speeds.
