June 18 – June 20, 2010
Mazama, WA
This camp will offer coaching for both the beginner and the advance biathlete. It will help the experienced biathlete improve their skills and take home drills for further improvement. For the beginner biathlete, it will introduce them to the sport and give them an opportunity to improve newly acquired skills.
Athletes must be at least 9-years old to attend. Ages are determined by what age you will be on Dec. 31, 2010. Shooting sessions will be assigned by age and experience (see schedule). All shooters must have completed a biathlon safety clinic before they can shoot on the range. There will be a safety clinic provided for individuals that need one. (Please note if you need a safety clinic on your registration form.) Rifles will be available on a first come first serve basis so register early if you don’t have your own rifle. Registration deadline is June 1, 2010 and there is a $10 late fee.
A few of the topics that will be covered are:
- Biathlon rifle safety
- Perfecting prone and standing shooting positions
- Live fire drills
- Speed and accuracy
- Basics of combo training
