Presque Isle’s Nordic Heritage Center gets a new look

Six months ago, the U.S. Nordic community descended on Presque Isle for the X-C skiing Jr. Nationals. Families, athletes, and staff from around the country experienced the best the communities in and around Presque Isle could dish out at the Nordic Heritage Center.

Fast forward to September and we sit now only six months away from the next big event. The IBU Biathlon World Cup will come to the County not just for one WC, but for two! Two weeks of racing at both the NHC and 10th Mtn. Center will take place this February and the County will be on center stage once again. This time however it will be the international stage with millions of viewers from all around the world.

This past week, the NHC started some of its renovations. The range was taken apart completely and will be moved back and to the left to create more space in the stadium/range area. In addition a handful of spots on the competition trails will be widened to ensure enough room for head to head racing, and smaller projects like lighting and stadium production will be updated as well.
