Dartmouth hosted the annual Moosilauke Time Trial this morning, a hill climb from the Ravine lodge up the Gorge Brook Trail to the summit of Mt. Moosilauke. It was definitely the most winterlike conditions I have ever seen with snow on the ground before the halfway point of the trail and lots of snow and ice at the summit. But despite the very slippery conditions some fast times were run especially by Kris Freeman who broke Marc Gilbertson’s long standing course record. And despite severely dreading the event, I managed to set a PR by about a minute. I think I had extra motivation knowing it was the last time I ever have to race up that mountain! Next weekend is homecoming at Dartmouth and I just may be a bit more nostalgic about my last bonfire than my last Moosilauke Time Trial. Here are some pictures of the day taken by my dad.
