The course starts across the field and then winds through the woods. The organizers ask everyone to send in their fastest 5 km times so they can be seeded with people of simillar speed. There were 5 girls seeds and 5 boys seeds, each with 150-200 runners in them. For the top seeds, this meant really tight races.
