After Two Individual competitions I am very happy with my results, but still know that I can do much better. My second event was a extremely challenging event, after not having to many jumps on the hill and not really being able to see much made it a little nerve racking to say the least.
After not having the best jumps I was happy with my competition jump. It was not very far but not too many people had jumps past 125m. Knowing many people were going to be around me I knew It was possible to move up many positions and finish in the top 3o. With my added excitement of just jumping in front of thousands of fans, I was really excited about my race. There was at least 20,000 people around the course and in the stadium cheering everyone on. So at the start of the first race the adrenaline kicked in and I started out very fast for the first lap and was only able to keep that up for about 1.5 more laps. So unfortunately I did not have my best race, but it was so much fun racing at Holmenkollen in front of all those people. I was able to finish strong finishing 35th moving up from 50th Place at the start. With that being my last event at the Oslo 2011 world championships, I was ready to watch and cheer on the team in the last event and get to enjoy the amazing vibe produced by these events. Below are some photos from the large hill individual day.
