The next adventure was to Chester Lake with Emma. It was overcast but we were lucky enough for the sun to join us for lunch!

There were two guys climbing the widest shoot starting bottom right heading up to the left. They started climbing with their snowboards on their backs when we arrived, and two hours later were about half way up and still climbing. An epic climb for an epic line. The scary part is this was the only shoot that hadn’t slid yet. Every face around had slid, and 3 years ago when Chris Butler and I were up at Chester, we watched that exact shoot slide. Pretty scary!

Lots of snow! This is a 5ft high sign totally buried in the snow.
After quite a few sprint adventures in Canmore, it was off to Ontario for a short 5 day trip for Sam’s 16th birthday! I arrived home yesterday and have been enjoying the incredible sunshine!

Getting the boats out! 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, 1 sailboat and 1 tin boat. Quite the load of toys!
Its back to Canmore on Monday and on Tuesday Emma and I leave for our 10 day road trip out to Vancouver Island. We are hoping to spend a few nights in Rossland, Victoria, Pender Harbor, Mt. Washington, maybe Tofino?? Should be a good trip. It has been an awesome spring so far!
