The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association released its final ranking lists used to select the teams for the J1 Scando trip (J1S) and World Junior Championships (WJC) teams.

World Junior Championships will be held in Erzurum, Turkey from February 20 – 26, with an optional pre-camp of Scandinavian Cup races in Madona, Latvia and Elbu, Estonia. The J1 Scando Cup trip is in Mammaste, Estonia from February 13 – 27 with an optional pre-camp in Otepaa, Estonia, site of last year’s World Junior Championships.

Athletes can prequalify for the WJC team with outstanding finishes at SuperTour events throughout the last year; the rest of the teams are selected, primarily, based on results at the 2012 U.S. National Championships in Rumford, ME. (Athletes who were sick during the championships could be named to the team discretionarily.)

Each team consists of six men and six women. Teams have yet to be officially announced as some athletes have yet to confirm they will attend.

The qualifiers for the U-23 World Championships will be announced after Sunday’s classic sprint in Rumford, ME.
