Stockholm, bustling metropolis of Sweden, is totally DEAD on a Sunday morning! These swedes must know how to do a good Saturday night, because there was no one around at 9am this morning. The only place to eat was a Max Burger joint… which had surprisingly real breakfast food and terrible but hot coffee.
Yesterday (or the day before, I don’t know… I think I just did two redeyes in a row) I left Anchorage. It feels like I left it for good; most of my clothes are packed and June seems like a long ways off. My plan is to race a lot in Europe, finish up with spring Nationals in Vermont, then go straight to school at Dartmouth. (Check out my schedule for details) The term will end in early June, just in time for the first Eagle Glacier camp of the summer! It’s nice to know what my plan is so far in the future, but man it was hard to leave all that glorious snow knowing that I might not see a real winter in Anchorage for another 10 years. I hope next year will be just as cold with just as much snow, but chances are pretty slim!!
Here are a few photos from chillin in Stockholm right now:
