New Zealand Travel

My teammate Kris Freeman and I made it to the Snow Farm, not far from Wanaka, New Zealand without any trouble. After my long ride yesterday (or two days ago, depending on how you count,) I slept for nine hours uninterrupted on the long flight, without sleeping drugs. I didn’t find Kris until we were a couple of hours from Auckland. I was glad to know he’d made the flight.

He says he spilled “water” on his pants.

The sun was rising as we walked from the international terminal to domestic terminal in Auckland.

On the flight from Auckland to Queenstown we were on an Air New Zealand plane decked out in the New Zealand All Blacks (Rugby) logo.

The flight into Queenstown is gorgeousness.

There is less snow then there has been the last couple of years.

But it’s really nice to be back!

We went for a short ski when we got here. I didn’t take any pictures of the skiing today, but the snow is a little thinner and more spring like then it has been in years past (but we’re here almost a month later in the season then we have been in the past.)
