This morning was day 2 for our Nationals Week. The older boys skied a tough 13.5 km course, the older girls skied a 10 km and the J2’s raced 5 km. All three courses ended with “stair-stepper”, a really tough, steep, 1 km uphill.
Katharine is planning on going to Nationals so she raced the 10 km for practice. Mollie (in background) strained her calve muscles last week so we are staying away from hard skating for a couple more days.
Brooke powers up the hill into the town of Stratton.
Kate gets after it.
Jordan, Skyler, Paddy, Jack and Matt exchange thoughts at the finish.
Gino looked very strong.
Tyler with his patented fast finish.
The J2’s enjoy a warm “cool down”.
Here are the times. Good effort by all!
Don’t forget, there are different ski speeds. If you check out the boys times, you can see from the DH (downhill) split, that the Swenors are faster than the Marwe skis.
