Alpine WC: Levi Slalom

JoranNovember 13, 2012

There was some XC racing in Finland over the weekend I’d like to write about, but FIS hasn’t posted the results yet, so while we wait, some more race snapshot graphs from the alpine WC slalom’s over the weekend (also in Finland).

Today the women:

I follow alpine racing much less closely than XC (even the Americans) so usually I have no idea who most of these people are. At first, looking at the results I was surprised to see an American (Mikaela Shiffrin) on the podium, but looking at the graph, maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised. She doesn’t have as many WC starts under her belt as many of the other folks here, but based on FIS points at least, this result, while good, wasn’t really that out of character for her.
