Our girls soccer team wrapped up a great season last week with a tough quarter final loss to Springfield (eventual 2nd place finishers). The girls compiled a 5-2-1 record in the regular season before beating Woodstock in the first round of the State Division 2 playoffs and then falling to Springfield.

Here is a picture of the girls after their thrilling shoot out victory over Woodstock. The game was well played by both sides and had to go to sudden death overtime AND two sets of penalty kicks before SMS prevailed.
Congratulations to the entire team and to our “soccer/nordies”: Brooke, Ana and Alex! Brooke ended the year as the teams top goal scorer and Ana was a co-MVP for the offense!
