Stars and stripes: Sadie Bjornsen races past her U.S. Ski Team teammates during the women’s 4 x 5 k relay at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The team ultimately placed ninth for their best result since 1998.

First off, a shoutout to our veterans and a sincere thanks to you and all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of your country. Second, since Memorial Day weekend (MDW) is essentially the unofficial kickoff to summer (despite being the antithesis to winter), we want to see you — our readers and faster skiers — in action.

Even nordic skiers kick back and relax from time to time, or maybe you’re up shredding it in the mountains. Send us your MDW pics, and we’ll post our favorites. Bonus goes to anything that involves skiing.

Email submissions today to info@fasterskier.com with the subject line “MDW”.

Be sure to include your full name, town/city and state, as well as a brief caption describing the photo. Appropriate “PG” photos only, please!
